7 more deliciously hydrating (and DIY!) recipes

In my last post, I gave you a few simple DIY recipes to stay hydrated. (Read it here if you missed it.) Here are seven more recipes to quench your thirst.

As a quick reminder, even mild dehydration can lead to lethargy, brain fog, headaches, sugar cravings and more. Rather than reaching for a sugary energy drink or soda that may leave you jittery and (sooner or later) lethargic, try one of these easy-to-make homemade recipes that will provide your body with real energy from electrolytes, minerals, and satisfying hydration. Enjoy!

PRO TIPS:

  • Many or most of these ingredients are readily available right in your backyard, or a neighbor’s backyard, or at your local Farmers’ market.
  • If local ingredients are not available, always use organic ingredients to avoid toxic pesticides and herbicides. Read why you need to avoid these toxic chemicals HERE.
  • Use filtered water to avoid chlorine, fluoride and other toxic chemicals in your drinking water. (I like the Berkey, available HERE. If you have fluoridated water, be sure to get the fluoride filters as well, HERE.)
  • For extra hydration, especially in hot weather, add a pinch of Real brand salt or pink Himalayan salt to the pitcher.
